1. Put a nice picture of yourself in your profile: (link pictures): Facebook is very picture-based. People scroll through tons of profiles looking for a nice-looking guy or a good-looking woman. If you have a smiling good-looking picture, some women will logon to your facebook profile, and maybe they will contact you first to become facebook-friends. Take a picture in summer season rather than a winter picture. Eventually, get yourself a nice FB-name.
Use those Facebooks dating applications, like Zoosk, to chat-up. Zoosk has 20 million single FB-members, and a very, very active chat room. Their members, called the "Zooskers", are looking to meet up for a date in their city. Other dating apps on FaceBook: "Are you interested?", "Best Match" and "Flirt Wall".
2. Accept a lot of friends requests. The more friends you have, the more "friends of friends" will be two clicks away from your profile. Let us say you have 200 friends, who have 200 friends, that means 40.000 people at a click away, so 20.000 women you can speak to saying "hi, so you know (my friend) as well?". Networking is a good way to find a nice date.
3. Be active on your Facebook. Drop a line on your status when you log-on. Hundreds of people will see it. Maybe the girl of your dreams will see it too.
4. Browse through the profiles of the girl friends of your Facebookfriends. Take a look, and make yourself a list of interesting women. Poke them, and ask them to become your BF Friend. Make a specific list of your potential dating friends on Facebook. Check to get the parameters of your privacy settings right for this group. You don't want the other girls looking at how you try to get a date with another single woman.
5. Mail interesting women and ask them to become your friend. You've got nothing to loose. You didn't know them before. If the say no, you don't know them now. Nothing changed. If she says "yes", ...

7. Try to get into real life contact. Don't waste your time with Facebook-relationships that last for weeks without any real-time consequence.
